We can’t help but think about Proverbs 22:6. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he won’t depart from it.” When our kids seem to be rejecting our faith it hurts. They know the truth in their heads, but not in their hearts. It’s easy to get mad and shame them into obedience. But, is that true conversion? Our kids aren’t ours. They’re God’s. He entrusted them to us. We need to be faithful in telling our kids the Good News, but we need to be as equally patient that the Holy Spirit will do the work. He may use us in the process, but He does it. In the meantime, pray the kids in our lives will come to know Jesus.
Why won’t my son live for Christ?
